Президент США Барак Обама 1 марта все же подписал указ о сокращении бюджета на 85 миллиардов долларов в текущем финансовом году.
Закон о секвестре федерального бюджета подписан без согласования с республиканцами в конгрессе.
Еще в пятницу утром на экстренно созванной пресс-конференции в Белом доме Барак Обама сказал: "Это просто шок. И это будет болезненно. Это будет болезненно для отдельных людей, и это будет болезненно для отдельной экономики", позиция республиканцев привела к бессмысленному сокращению бюджета.
Как отмечают эксперты, секвестр может снизить темпы роста американской экономики и увеличить уровень безработицы в стране. В результате секвестра бюджета в 2013 году ВВП США может вырасти всего на 1,4 процента. В свою очередь, представители Пентагона утверждали, что сокращение бюджета может отрицательно сказаться на обороноспособности США.
Так, Пентагону секвестирование урезало бюджет на 46 миллиардов долларов - на 13% бюджета Минобороны США, вследствие чего американскому военному ведомству придется уволить из вооруженных сил 800 тысяч служащих. Остальные статьи бюджета были сокращены на 26 миллиардов долларов, программа медицинского страхования Medicare - на 11 миллиардов.

ICTS was also the security company in charge for all airports that had allowed the highjack planes on 9/11 to depart. But all this was never reported by the media although the future of all people depends on how 9/11 is intended.
